Gold Medals for Quality Wines Skovin at the GAST Fair in Split, Republic of Croatia
The 16th International Wine and Strong Alcoholic Drinks Evaluation was held on 14 and 15 February, 2011 in the hotel Le Meridien-Lav in Split. The evaluation process is traditionally held within the International GAST Fair, the Wine Fair Dioniziana being part of it.
The wine cellar Skovin only continued its award winning tradition. This year the gold medals went to Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2010 and to Syrah-Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2009. The Skovin wines were evaluated in competition of 104 white and 78 red wines, well known in the region. The gold winning Sauvignon Blanc proved to be equal to Croatian, Italian and French white wines.
The expert committee consisted of top oenologists from Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Slovenia and Montenegro.

Sauvignon Blanc is the winner of the great Gold Medal at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad-2011.
Apart from this highest award in the category of white wines, other Skovin wines have won some prestigious awards too. All the Balkan countries took part at this fair with more hundreds of wine samples offered for participation and evaluation.
The quality of the wines is affirmed by the numerous awards
won on domestic and foreign wine contests, which is also a proof
of their international prestige.
